This framework was based around three modules and its aim was to provide the tools , techniques and knowledge to enable purchasing buyers, managers and directors to not only improve the efficiency of their existing supply chain operations but to save money by more effective sourcing, purchasing and materials management.

There is the potential that for small and medium sized organisations the modules could form part of a cost savings programme where candidates develop their own plans and projects during the course itself as part of their course activities.
